David E Komnick, 77, of Gillespie, Ill., died at Heritage Health of Gillespie on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021. He was born Sept. 22, 1944, in Carlinville to Arthur Komnick and Marion (Eldred) Komnick. He married Linda Gay Fields on Aug. 15, 1965, in Gillespie. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2017. He was a retired coal miner after having worked for Monterey Coal Mine. Marilyn Mae DuVall, 90, was called home to our Lord on Oct. 18, 2021, in Tucson, Ariz. Marilyn was born March 12, 1931, in Springfield, Ill., to Warren and Marie Hardy, who preceded her in death.
