There are 6 major options and in each major, there's a teacher for every single one with specialized classes, like jewelery making or sculpture for art majors. There are also many Advanced Placement classes so you can graduate early or take dual-enrollment quicker. The teachers all have verified degrees and if you ever need additional info, they can help. Admins are skilled and lawful, they make sure that if there are any issues, they're brought up. The school spirit is plentiful with the many pep rallies and there are lots of sports to choose from. The worst part about it all might just be the amount of stairs in the school, but there are elevators.... Academics there are quite good. We have every subject advanced and taught in innovative ways. The teachers are quite average. There are some nice teachers while others are a bit more unjust. The clubs there are exquisite! We have Latin, Health, Lego Robotics, Vex Robotics, Makerspace, and more! The school culture is quite good as well. We have something called LYP which is an abreviation for Love Your People. With LYP it rewards us for good behaviors and gives us good punishments for bad ones. Starting with the critiques, STEM has a pretty bad facility. The building is decades old and had questionable tasting water and plumbing. The safety of our school is quite questionable as well. We've had multiple threats come to the school. There have also been multiple fights. Overall as a school I would consider STEM very good. It's the best middle school in Chatham County....
